Truth is in the eye of the beholder

Come in, lay down with me,

As for tomorrow, it is as far from us as yesterday's sorrow

Never despair, stand your ground and be the best you can be

Whatever may happen, whatever may come to be

Erase your hate, bloom like a carved and scarred apple tree

Luckily, the clouds will guide you when you've lost your way,

It seems harder and harder to stand up for what you believe in

Viable lies grow faster than undeniable truth, tis true to say…

Examine your life, is it really so totally free from sin?

Let us pray, or so they say, for a better tomorrow, a better day,

Over the hills, in a deep shady valley

Never looking back down this littered alley

Gone to this burning place, tormented by or own words, our children play

Ever so long, ever so short

Needing to speak up, but found yourself out of breath

Out of it because of all the lies you've told until the day of your death

Universal truths, spoken by someone who doesn't know math

Give me some peace of mind, will I display my soul on this billboard

Heaven help me, or will you, if I don't have the strength to hold the fort?

Trying to see, hoping for illumination, but not really wanting

Over here, lay down by me, let me do the haunting

See, truth brings pain, anguish, or ecstatic joy

Ergo, you just decide to toy

Era after era, like a man who is forever a boy

Better that I tell you

Exit my heart, or come on in and accept all that you will find

Years of not knowing have left a mark of remarks, none too kind

Of course I will forgive you two,

Needles to say, neither of you wanted to be left behind

Decide, as the light is dawning, if you will know what to do…

?
