Summer sunshine on autumn leaves

A grey squirrel shoots up high, along the bark of a tree

Fleeing upwards, to where there are no prying eyes to see

A quick look up, a sniff of the air surround its little head

It quickly hides the little nuts, before it clambers into bed

A long big sleep, waiting to take its toll

on the little creatures, the little marvels that make our lives whole

Slowly the shadow of a tree falls over its small nest

Situated in a place only our little friend here knows best

It picks up a nut, and eats it, cracking the shell

And suddenly it reaches its nose, that sweet aromatic smell

It´s the scent of free flight, of breaking the waves

Yes... we have come a long way from living in caves

Thus ends another day, and the squirrel goes on through

To our bonus-round, where it will share a little nut with you
