Precious grace

Two forces meet

different, strange

yet in combination

so terribly sweet

Two different sides

to the same story

Two ways of life

so different

never meant to be

Never allowed to come together

They cannot

yet everything,

every inch,

yearns,

yearns to meet

every inch of the other

Rage and righteousness

blending together

or at least trying

only to end up

dying for each other's sins

So they pay,

pay for the greater good

one left broken

the other dead

Lies, deceit

got them together,

thrusted them apart

To build a hopeless love

that saw,

through the web of treason,

a glimpse

of each other's souls

Such a mad distortion

Such a sad distortion of unity.
