Not enough time

There is not enough time.

No time to be good.

No time to be bad.

No time to be happy or sad.

No time to have all you never had.

Thinking back to what I was and what I am,

a wandering minstrel without a goal, perhaps?

Maybe it’s time for us to wake up and snap out,

to look around and truly see what it’s all about:

that you hold in your hands what you seek but don’t scout.

I wish I could find the time to find the words,

words that would say I say,

time to do all the things I haven’t gotten around to

and think through what I haven’t thought through,

but most of all to find a proper way to say: “I love you.”
