How much sadness can one person be made to bear?
It is said that God does not put heavier a burden on our shoulders than we can bear.
That is a comforting thought.
It does however raise the question of what happened to all those poor sods who ended up killing themselves
because they couldn’t stand the torment of their lives anymore?
Didn’t they hear God’s message?
Or perhaps God tests his creations in such a strenuous fashion
so that those who don’t make the grade can be destroyed?
How I long for peace…
How very badly I long for peace.
