Colours

Dreamy orange birds fly around my sky

in a dream of glee I wave, goodbye

The shadow of a wantom soul caresses the maroon night

away it comes, together and all to make all alright

Tingletangle here it comes all the way

one bloodied angel staggers from the fray

A little pink elephant climbes up the tree

climbing branch for branch for you, for me

It goes out on a limb in the rays of the setting sun

ironically, the branch snaps, landing it back where it begun

The white hand of a black death strokes my cheek

in beauty we are all alike, the vengeful and the meek

Round and round the coloured wheel spins

a colour for everything, our virtues, our sins

Is there a difference between a red rose, a brown leaf or a green car?

The colours of the rainbow, an apple, or a bright shiney star?

Timidly, forgotten, we watch the palette unwind

we're going back to the start, please press rewind.
